SANTA CECILIA MARIACHI FESTIVAL 2024
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2024, 11 A.M. - 9 P.M.
Join the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center and Mariachi Azteca de America for the 2nd annual Santa Cecilia Music Festival, a vibrant celebration honoring Santa Cecilia, the patron saint of musicians, on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 11AM – 9 PM at the Plaza Guadalupe, 1327 Guadalupe St, San Antonio, TX.
This free community event will feature performances from over 15 mariachi groups, showcasing the rich traditions of mariachi music. Enjoy a day filled with incredible live musical performances from GCAC Mariachi Origen y Tradicion, Harris M.S., Brackenridge H.S., Mariachi Azteca de América, Mariachi Campanas de America, Mariachi Espuelas de Plata, and many more talented Mariachis from San Antonio. Audience members are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to this outdoor event.
ABOUT GUADALUPE MARIACHI ACADEMY!
The Guadalupe Music Academy is the educational department of the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center and provides year-round instruction in traditional Mariachi music for beginning, intermediate and advanced students of all ages. The Music Academy is open to beginning, intermediate and advance student of all ages. Classes include mariachi guitar, trumpet, violin, vocals, accordion and piano.
The Guadalupe Academy classes are held in person at the Galería Guadalupe, 723 S. Brazos St, and are under the direction of Education Director Belinda Menchaca, and Traditional Music Director Gino Rivera.
